Destination 2030 was adopted in May 2005 under the previous transportation authorization act, the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century. The Revisions document addresses new long range planning requirements mandated by the passage of the Safe, Accountable, Efficient, Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) which was signed into law in August, 2005. This document describes the steps that DVRPC has taken to address the new SAFETEA-LU requirements. Many of the requirements were addressed during the development of Destination 2030. Some of the new requirements, such as environmental mitigation, required additional action. The biggest change involved converting the financial plan to account for year-of-expenditure dollars.

Geographic Area Covered: The nine-county DVRPC region.

Key Words: Long Range Plan, Revisions, Destination 2030, Year 2030 Plan.
