Delaware Valley Goods Movement Task Force

1. Welcome and Call to Order

Task Force members and friends will be welcomed. Highlights from the previous freight advisory committee meeting on October 13, 2021 will be offered for approval.
 

2. Greater Philadelphia Freight Updates 2021

DVRPC staff will provide a review of freight project awards and initiatives from the year as well as provide an update on industrial development highlights.
 

3. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act

DVRPC staff will present an overview of freight provisions of the new bipartisan Federal Infrastructure Bill, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This update will focus on new and expanded funding opportunities for freight infrastructure.
 

4. Warehouse Sprawl: Regional Significance Calls for Regional Perspective

Tim Evans, Director of Research with New Jersey Future will present research on warehouse sprawl in New Jersey and the need for a smart growth approach to planning for these types of developments. Following the presentation members will be invited to participate in a conversation on challenges and opportunities to address warehouse development in the region.
 

5. PHL Cargo Expansion

Jim Tyrrell, Chief Revenue Officer with PHL will provide an update on the airports Cargo Expansion Strategy. PHL’s multi- year cargo expansion program will include an estimated $2 billion in capital investment and generate thousands of high- paying permanent jobs, in addition to many other direct and indirect benefits to the region.
 

6. Two-minute Reports

Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members and friends are invited to offer updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.
