TCDI funds local planning initiatives that also advance the goals of the region’s long-range plan, Update: Connections 2050 Plan for Greater Philadelphia.
In January 2026, DVRPC will release the program guidelines for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Pennsylvania round of DVRPC’s Transportation and Community Development Initiative (TCDI) grant program and begin accepting project ideas. Entities eligible to submit project ideas for the FY27 PA round include municipal and county governments, and transit agencies, located in DVRPC’s five Pennsylvania counties.
All interested and eligible entities are strongly encouraged to attend an informational webinar on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 11:00 am. Registration is required.

- Enhances the transportation network;
- Fosters greater regional resilience;
- Improves overall quality of life;
- Promotes and encourages the use of transit, bike, and pedestrian transportation modes; and
- Protects the environment.
