SEPTA was awarded an FY 2022 FHWA Commuter Authority Rail Safety Improvements (CARSI) grant in the amount of $15,000,000 requiring a state/local match of $2,000,000. The project includes dynamic envelope marking improvements at 20 grade crossings and the installation of four-quadrant gates at 11 of those locations.
