Climate Action and Energy Transition plans focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to clean energy to address climate change at the local level. These plans establish a baseline for how communities are generating greenhouse gas emissions and prioritize strategies to reduce those emissions in buildings, transportation, waste, agriculture, and other sectors. This forum featured three speakers and multiple panelists representing the four suburban Pennsylvania counties and multiple municipalities who discussed how they created their plans, engaged residents in the process, and identified and prioritized GHG mitigation strategies, as well as challenges and barriers to plan implementation and lessons learned along the way.
