This report documents the TRANPLAN based highway and public transit simulation model that the DVRPC staffhas prepared for use in the I-95 Intermodal Mobility Project. This model produces estimates of the 1996 daily or peak hour travel patterns. This report continues the work of the previous report, "Regional Park and Ride Assessment: Highway-Related Facilities." Nine new proposed park and ride areas are subjected to a market area evaluation and general demand analysis. A recommendation for further action is given for each of these areas.

Journey-to-Work data for the Delaware Valley Region from the 1990 Census is summarized at the county level and compared with similar data from the 1970 and 1980 censuses. Changes in the distribution of resident workers, commuting patterns, means of transportation, travel times, and employment are analyzed.

This report provides a long range of implementation strategies as options to implement the policy goals of DIRECTION 2020, DVRPC's long-range land use and transportation plan for the Delaware Valley Region. The purpose of this report is to quantify emissions from highway sources (cars and trucks) within the Pennsylvania and Maryland portions of the Philadelphia Nonattainment Area for Ozone on a typical summer weekday in 1988. levels of non-methane hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and oxides of nitrogen are estimated for 5x5 kilometer grid cells, as well as county and state levels.
