The webinar explored how the region’s Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) plan for and fund transportation projects across Greater Philadelphia.

On March 4, 2026, DVRPC’s Public Participation Task Force (PPTF) hosted a virtual meeting on “Planning and Funding Transportation Infrastructure Across the Region,” which explored how the region’s long-range plan (LRP) and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) plan and fund transportation projects across Greater Philadelphia. The meeting featured presentations from DVRPC staff introducing how regional priorities are identified in the LRP, how projects are selected for funding in the TIP, and how residents can make public comments.

The presentations concluded with a Q&A session during which attendees asked about the role of public participation in developing these documents. Attendees were encouraged to provide feedback on updates to the LRP and 2027 Pennsylvania TIP during the upcoming public comment period, which will be open May 21 to June 22, 2026.
