The webinar explored how the region’s Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) plan for and fund transportation projects across Greater Philadelphia.

On March 13, 2025, DVRPC’s Public Participation Task Force (PPTF) hosted a virtual meeting on “Planning and Funding Transportation Infrastructure Across the Region,” which explored how the region’s Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) plans for and funds transportation projects across Greater Philadelphia. The meeting featured presentations from DVRPC and Delaware County planning staff introducing the planning process of the region’s Long-Range Plan, the project selection process of the TIP, how residents can make public comments, and highlights of regional transportation projects in Delaware County and across the region.

The presentations concluded with a Q&A session during which attendees asked about the role of the PPTF in promoting the TIP and the process for getting projects added to the TIP, and the attendees expressed interest in the Municipal Implementation Toolbox

The Public Participation Task Force would like to thank our presenters for participating in this community-focused conversation: Amani Bey, planner, DVRPC Office of Long-Range Planning; Travis Spotts, capital program coordinator, DVRPC Office of TIP Development and Maintenance; Alyson Dressman, senior capital project planner, DVRPC Office of Capital Programs; and Cathy Spahr, senior transportation planner, Delaware County.
