If your background and experience match the following entry-level vacancy, we would like to hear from you.
Job Description
This new position will support DVRPC’s Office of Sustainable Energy in positioning Greater Philadelphia as a leader in the clean energy transition. This position will advance existing clean energy transition planning efforts underway at DVRPC.
The position will also help to design and manage new programs to assist local governments, institutions and partners in the region with implementing scaled decarbonization policies and programs. These policies and programs are expected to emerge from the DVRPC-led development of an MSA-wide Climate Action Plan under EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Program and the creation of new programs to scale clean energy solutions as part of DVRPC’s In-Depth Partnership with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Clean Energy to Communities Program (NREL C2C). New programs will likely support decarbonization within local government operations and residential buildings. Ongoing programs in the Office include the Regional Streetlight Procurement Program, the Sustainable Energy Partnership, and the Regional Benchmarking Program.
The work of this new position will include data collection and analysis, policy research, coordination with partners, development of communication strategies and messaging, assistance with public participation, outreach, and engagement activities, and relationship building with traditional and non-traditional stakeholders. This work benefits from the ability to think strategically and critically, and from the desire to forge effective relationships. It requires a strong interest in the clean energy transition and associated decarbonization solutions, an understanding of barriers to this transition, and a passion to pursue inclusive processes and equitable outcomes.
Work is to be performed in accordance with broadly defined objectives and professional standards under technical supervision of the Manager of the Office of Sustainable Energy, who in turn reports to the Director of Community Planning.

- Host and/or facilitate program-related meetings including program kickoffs, webinars, and steering and stakeholder committee meetings.
