6 NJ26-001 Transportation Alternative Set-Aside Program selected projects
Background/Analysis/Issues:
DVRPC staff requests to amend the FY2025 TIP for New Jersey (TIP Action NJ26-001) by adding eleven (11) new projects, totaling $14.328M TA-FLEX funds, from the DVRPC NJ region to the Transportation Alternatives Program (DB #X107), accordingly:
1. $1,500,000 for the Rancocas Creek Greenway, Historic Smithville Park Connector Trail project in Burlington County
2. $1,100,000 for the Sidewalk and Bike Lane Improvements of Various Roadways project in Evesham Township, Burlington County
3. $1,235,000 for the Bobbys Run Creek Trail Improvements project in Lumberton Township, Burlington County
4. $1,356,000 for the McKendimen Road Pedestrian Improvements project in Medford Lakes Borough, Burlington County
5. $1,088,000 for the Pemberton Browns-Mills Bicycle Pedestrian Action Plan – Phase 1 project in Pemberton Township, Burlington County
6. $1,500,000 for the Camden County Link Trail Segment 1D-2 project in Camden County
7. $1,500,000 for the Elm Street Streetscape, Bikeway, & Pedestrian Safety Improvements project in Camden City, Camden County
8. $1,500,000 for the North Park Drive Pedestrian Improvements project in Cherry Hill Township, Camden County
9. $1,500,000 for the Centennial Boulevard Pedestrian Improvements project in Voorhees Township, Camden County
10. $1,055,000 for the Johnson Trolley Trail Spruce Street Extension project in Mercer County
11. $994,000 for the Completing the Cleveland Road segment of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail project in Hopewell Township, Mercer County
The New Jersey Transportation Alternative Set-Aside Program (TASA) is a competitive federal program established to provide funds for community based “non-traditional” surface transportation projects designed to strengthen the cultural, aesthetic, and environmental aspects of the nation’s intermodal system. The DVRPC NJ region received sixteen (16) TASA applications requesting approximately $25.743 million total. DVRPC and NJDOT review committee members, including the four NJ counties, evaluated these applications by using an agreed upon selection criteria from NJDOT.

Action Proposed:
The DVRPC Board approves TIP Action NJ26-001, DVRPC staff’s request to amend the FY2025 TIP for New Jersey by adding eleven (11) new projects, totaling $14.328M TA-FLEX funds, from the DVRPC NJ region to the Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TA-SA) Program (DB #X107) in the Statewide Program, accordingly:
1. $1,500,000 for the Rancocas Creek Greenway, Historic Smithville Park Connector Trail project in Burlington County
2. $1,100,000 for the Sidewalk and Bike Lane Improvements of Various Roadways project in Evesham Township, Burlington County
