Complete Streets Resurfacing Program

The DVRPC/PennDOT Connects Complete Streets Resurfacing Program is an effort to identify roads for potential investment to increase safety for all road users as part of regularly scheduled PennDOT resurfacing projects.

PA Suburban Program

This effort is being coordinated between the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), PennDOT District 6, the four suburban counties in the Philadelphia region (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties), and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia with the goal of identifying roads that are good candidates for complete streets improvements.

Philadelphia Program

This effort is being coordinated between the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), PennDOT District 6, and the City of Philadelphia with the goal of identifying roads that are good candidates for complete streets facilities. Additionally, DVRPC assists the City of Philadelphia with an iterative design process that uses capacity analysis to assess the traffic impacts of proposed complete streets investments.

5-Year Resurfacing Plan Map

View a simple map showing state-owned roads on District 6's resurfacing plan for the next few years. The plan is dynamic, changing based on road conditions and other maintenance priorities. This map is updated as new plans are made available through PennDOT's website and as paving packages are released.

DVRPC Bicycle LTS and Connectivity Analysis

Level of Traffic Stress (LTS) is a road classification scheme based on the comfort of bicyclists using that road. DVRPC’s LTS assignment is based on the number of lanes, effective vehicle speed, and presence/type of bicycle facility. The Connectivity Analysis was conducted to determine which segments provide the greatest number of connections throughout the region, from every census block to every other census block.
