Draft FY2010 TIP for NJ
The DVRPC Board unanimously voted on July 23, 2009, to adopt the FY2010 TIP for New Jersey, including the Recommended Changes to the draft from its committees, as the region's official selection of transportation projects for federal funding in New Jersey (see our press release). The TIP was developed in cooperation with NJDOT, NJ TRANSIT, DRPA/PATCO and DVRPC's member NJ counties and cities. The public was invited to review and comment on the Draft TIP prior to adoption. These comments and the responses by the various agencies were presented to the Board for its consideration and will be included as part of the final FY2010 TIP document available later this summer.
The complete Draft TIP document has been divided into four sections. The first section is a general overview of the TIP and the TIP development process, intended to familiarize you with what the TIP is and is not, how it was developed, and what can be expected for projects in the TIP. The second section contains various summaries of the New Jersey programs. The third section describes the TIP Public Involvement process, including issues relating to Environmental Justice (EJ). (You may e-mail your comments to DVRPC). It also lists local libraries where you can access a reference copy of this draft TIP document. Finally, the fourth section contains an explanation of funding and phasing codes and abbreviations used in the project listings. While the printed version contains this material as part of the fourth section, this website provides the project lists with their descriptions and financial schedule, and the project and EJ maps, as individual documents that you can view using the dropdown menus below.
The document also contains five Appendices: (A) NJDOT Financial Guidance used in developing the program; (B) Executive Summary of the Documentation of the Air Quality Conformity Finding; (C) Memorandum of Understanding on Procedures to Amend and Modify the TIP; (D) NJDOT 10-year State Transportation Improvement Program; and, (E) NJDOT Tier 2 Projects.
