The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission Announces for Public Review:

Draft DVRPC FY2021 Transportation Improvement Program for Pennsylvania (FY21 - FY24) and Draft Connections 2045 Long-Range Plan Amendment

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) is seeking your input and will open a public comment period for the Draft DVRPC Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for Pennsylvania (FY21-FY24). This also serves as the public comment period for the Draft Connections 2045 Long-Range Plan (LRP) Amendment. DVRPC will accept comments on both draft documents from May 26, 2020 until June 29, 2020 at 5:00 PM local time.

Public notice of public participation activities and time established for public review of and comments on the TIP also satisfies Program of Projects requirements for NJTransit, Port Authority Transit Corporation (PATCO), Pottstown Area Rapid Transit (PART), and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA).

An electronic version of the Draft Connections 2045 Long-Range Plan (LRP) Amendment is available at www.dvrpc.org/LongRangePlan. If requested, the Draft TIP and Draft LRP Amendment can be translated into an alternative format or language.

The TIP represents the region's federally funded transportation improvement priorities and is required by federal law in order for the region to receive and spend federal transportation funds. The TIP also includes non-federally funded projects that are regionally significant in order to provide a broad picture of the region's transportation improvements.

The Connections 2045 Plan is the region's long-term vision for prioritizing transportation investments. DVRPC periodically amends the LRP to incorporate changes to regionally significant projects, reflect changes to the financial plan, and to maintain fiscal constraint. This update to the Plan accounts for major funding changes to the region, and also reports on new Transportation Performance Management (TPM) requirements set forth in federal transportation legislation.

To abide by stay-at-home orders and public health guidelines for public gatherings, public meetings will be held online at two different times. These online public meetings will also include a presentation of the Draft Transportation Conformity Demonstration, which has an overlapping public comment period. The online meetings will be recorded and posted online about a day after.
