Delaware Valley Goods Movement Task Force

1. Welcome and Call to Order

Task Force members and friends will be welcomed. Highlights from the previous freight advisory committee meeting on April 20, 2022 will be offered for approval.
 

2. NYMTC Clean Freight Corridors Study

Leslie Fordjour and Gerry Bogacz, New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC), along with their consultant team at CALSTART will share the findings of the Clean Freight Corridors Study that was conducted to advance high-efficiency, low-emission alternative transportation technologies in the region’s freight fleet. The study was a recommendation of the Regional Freight Plan component in NYMTC’s 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan and it looked to develop recommendations to launch alternative fuel technologies for goods movement by identifying roadway corridors suited to be designated as Clean Freight Corridors.
 

3. New Jersey State Planning Commission Warehouse Siting Guidance

Matt Blake, AICP, PP, The Office of Planning Advocacy, will share an overview of the Commission’s recently released Warehouse Siting Guidance. This guidance aims to facilitate a proactive approach by providing municipal factors to consider when developing or updating a Master Plan. It also encourages a regional approach to planning, siting, and facilitating logistics facilities. This guidance is currently open for public comment until July 29, 2022.
 

4. Pennsylvania Low Bridge Information

Ryan McNary, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, will share an update on Pennsylvania’s Low Bridge Information using 511PA and their new traveler information services available via mobile app. This new data layer now includes locations for all bridges under legal height (<13’6″) on state roads, and the mobile app allows this information to be shared as an alert that can be heard by motorists in the app’s drive mode.
