Welcome and Call to Order 

Task Force members and friends will be welcomed. Highlights from the previous freight advisory committee meeting on January 13, 2021 will be offered for approval. 
 

Freight Rail Industry Trends 

Dan Keen, Assistant Vice President, Policy Analysis at Association of American Railroads, will provide an update on freight rail industry trends and activity as the national economy works towards recovery from the COVID‐19 pandemic. The Association of American Railroads (AAR) is the world’s leading railroad policy, research, standard setting, and technology organization that focuses on the safety and productivity of the U.S. freight rail industry. 
 

New Development at Former PES Site 

Jeremy Grey, Executive Vice President, Partner at Hilco Redevelopment Partners, will introduce The Hilco Redevelopment Partners’ proposed development at the former PES Refinery site into a new multi‐modal logistics center. 
 
The PES refinery in Southwest Philadelphia closed in 2019. The Hilco Redevelopment Partners’ proposed development aims to remediate and transform the 1,300 acre site into a new multi‐modal logistics park with modern distribution and warehouse space. The project is estimated to be built over the next decade, providing jobs during the construction process as well as e‐commerce, warehouse and distribution positions as it's completed.
