2. Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Actions
a. TIP Action PA03-62a: US 202, Johnson Highway to Swede Road, Montgomery County
b. TIP Action PA03-62b: US 202, Swede Road to Morris Road, Montgomery County
c. TIP Action PA03-62c: Route 63 / Woodhaven Road from Bucks County Line to Evans Street (Roadway Restoration / Noisewalls), Philadelphia
3. Transportation and Community Development Initiative (TCDI) 2004 Project Selection
A total of 44 Project proposals have been submitted for the 2004 round of the TCDI Program. The prioritized projects recommended by the review committees for Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be presented to the Board for approval.
4. DVRPC Fiscal Year 2005 Planning Work Program Amendments
a. Cramer Hill / Pennsauken Waterfront Access Study, Camden County
A study is being conducted by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) for the Cramer Hill redevelopment project in the City of Camden and Pennsauken Township. NJDOT has requested DVRPC to prepare 2016 and 2030 traffic forecasts for existing facilities and proposed highway and public transit improvements.
b. County Line Road Traffic Study, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties
Designs for a four-lane County Line section between Lower State Road and US 202 are being prepared. PENNDOT has requested that DVRPC provide traffic forecasts and other modeling services for this project.
c. Transportation Needs Assessment and Financial Analysis in Pennsylvania
This study will examine the long term needs of the highway and transit systems, research all current revenue sources, their basis in state and federal legislation, and the reporting mechanisms used to track these funds. It will also identify the funding mechanisms used in other states and how they might be employed in this state and region.
d. Transportation Safety Program
This program will coordinate, oversee, and monitor transportation safety and safety-conscious planning programs in the DVRPC region.
e. Delaware Valley Freight Corridors Study
This study will identify principal north-south and east-west freight corridors to improve the speed, reliability, and throughput of cargo shipments. It will estimate future transportation demand and capacity needs, develop a policy and capital improvement program and build coalitions with adjacent regions
and states.
f. Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance Support
A unified set of criteria for Smart Growth in the Delaware Valley region has been developed in the form of questions which could be used for a regional Project Recognition Program. Board action is being sought to continue financial support for DVRPC staff and their partners' participation in this program.
5. New Jersey Transit/DVRPC Memorandum of Understanding on Transportation Planning Procedures
DVRPC, in cooperation with the two other New Jersey Metropolitan Planning Organizations, is working with New Jersey Transit to establish an agreement on roles and responsibilities. A draft planning Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that addresses cooperative procedures for carrying out transportation planning and programming has been developed and will be presented to the Board for approval.
