Office of Communications and Public AffairsDVRPC has a strong history of public involvement, beginning in the 1970s, when federal mandates outlined the basics of citizen participation. Then, as now, the Commission went far beyond the minimal standards, believing that public involvement is the right of each individual to have a voice in how this region will develop. We believe that it is our job to reach out to and satisfy as many populations as possible and to do so in an equitable and timely manner.
